COVINGTON, Ga. – Two persons have been killed when a small plane has crashed in the vicinity of a Typical Mills plant about 35 miles east of Atlanta, officials confirmed.

“Obviously this was a devastating crash and there are no survivors,” Covington police Capt. Ken Malcom said Thursday night time, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Crews had recovered one system as of late Thursday, Fox 5 Atlanta described.

“We are performing on a lead to decide who the victims have been in the crash,” Malcom claimed, including it was a reduction the incident did not strike the cereal manufacturer’s plant close by. “The point that it did not crash into the plant saved numerous life.”

According to witnesses, the aircraft had departed from Covington Municipal Airport about 6:45 p.m., police claimed.
